Gail's Quilt Page

These pictures represent a lot, but by no means all, of the quilty things I've been doing. I should make another page for the other sewing things...

A Quilt for ME, Work in Progress
Starry Brick Road, for Zachary Owen on the occasion of his birth, August 2003. Yellow Brick Road pattern with star and some dot print fabrics. Free-form five-pointed stars quilted in each block, wish I had a detail pic of this.

My second "art" quilt, a class project at the Pfaff Dealers' Convention, August 2003. I don't think I would have chosen the orange/red fabric, but this has grown on me. Detail of pleated binding. The binding was cut on the straight of grain due to the limited amount of fabric left for binding. Pleating was the only way to get around the curves. Also a nice look at my newly faux-finished wall, a "While You Were Out" project done while Bill was on a business trip.

My first "art" quilt, based on a presentation given to the Front Range Contemporary Quilters newcomers group. Completed early 2003.

Christmas Present for Lesly
This quilt used the pattern "Woven Ribbons" from M'liss Rae Hawley's book, Fat Quarter Quilts. My third quilt, and first "big" quilt.
Detail of Lesly's Quilt
Matching Pillow, made with leftover blocks.

Wallhanging made for Ethan; about 1998; quilt number 2. Learned that I am not overly fond of cutting with templates, or satin stitching. Wallhanging made for Rachel; about 1997; my first finished quilt. I won't point out the flaws. Also some of the first hoop embroidery I did with my then-new Pfaff 7570.
